Aurora Theatre hosts October Children's Theatre

Lawrenceville, Ga. – Aurora Theatre (128 Pike Street, Lawrenceville) has assembled the best children’s performers in the region, bringing them to Gwinnett County in order to give parents and their children a chance to experience their artistry in our amazing facility in downtown Lawrenceville.

Beginning on October 16, join Georgia Shakespeare’s Will Power Ensemble as they present The Legend of the Sword in the Stone. Magic and mischief abound in this adaptation of the classic tale of young King Arthur and his friendship with the wizard Merlin.

Public Safety Fall Festival on Saturday

The Gwinnett County Police Department and the Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services will hold their first annual Public Safety Fall Festival on October 2, 2010. This year the festival will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Cool Ray Field (Gwinnett Braves Stadium) in Buford.

The event will include a best two out of three friendly game of softball and will feature firefighters competing against police officers. 

At this year’s festival, various units from police and fire and Emergency Services will set up displays and give demonstrations.
