LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- For the past seven years, Lawrenceville, GA Ghost Tours has terrified Metro Atlanta residents with its chilling tales and shocking true histories.

From now until Halloween, this Gwinnett County tradition will run every night in the Atlanta area's oldest city. Lawrenceville, GA Ghost Tours prides itself on its use of storytelling, not blood and sudden scares, to startle visitors, which makes the tours suitable for adults and children alike.

A costumed guide leads participants on a 90-minute adventure through downtown Lawrenceville, including a stop at the old jail and a tale of how corpses used to fly down Honest Alley.

All tours begin at the Aurora Theatre; tickets are available at the theatre's box office, and there is free parking in the attached deck.

Prices vary by day:

Sunday through Thursday
Tours begin at 7:30 p.m.
$12 for adults, $9 for children

Friday and Saturday
Tours begin at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
$15 for adults, $12 for children

The Lawrenceville Ghost Trolley will also roll through town at 8 p.m. every Friday in October. The cost for all riders is $25; this unforgettable trip includes visits to the Lawrenceville Female Seminary, train depot and infamous cemetery, long regarded as a paranormal hot spot.

For more information or to make reservations for the tour and trolley, call 678-226-6222.

The Aurora Theatre is located at 128 East Pike Street.
