Santa Plans Visit to Three More Metro Malls

ATLANTA -- Santa Claus makes his grand entrance at three more metro Atlanta malls this weekend, with stops planned at Perimeter, Gwinnett Place and North Point on November 13.

If the wait is longer than 15 minutes at Perimeter, parents will receive a pager allowing them to shop until it's their turn at the big chair.

Gwinnett Place and North Point malls are among those offering special times for pet lovers to have their pet's picture taken with Santa Claus.

Wendy's Customers Help Lilburn Police Capture Three Armed Robbery Suspects

LILBURN, Ga. -- The good guys won this round.

Wednesday night at about 8:30, two men held up, at gunpoint, the Wendy's at Lawrenceville Highway and Beaver Ruin Road in Lilburn.

They had bandanas covering their faces.

One of the men pointed a revolver at one of the customers, Fidel Reyes -- pointing it right in his face.

Reyes is a Norcross auto mechanic; his wife and two small daughters, ages 8 months and two years, were with him in that Wendy's; and he couldn't believe what he was suddenly seeing and hearing.

The gunman shouted at him, "He said, 'Get down, because this is serious, we're serious, just get down, don't look up, don't look up.'"

The robbers also ordered the other customers to get down on the floor. In all, there were four adults and three children.

Reyes said, "I went down, and I grabbed my wife and my kids and I say, 'Just hold on, keep down, and keep praying, so everything should be no problem.'"

Chapel Hill Wins Four Straight After 0-4 Start

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- Four losses are tough for a football team to swallow, especially when they all come at the beginning of the season. But Chapel Hill was not going to let an 0-4 start ruin their season.

"We lost our fourth game in a row [to Douglas County]," Chapel Hill head coach Nick Parker said," And we only scored six points, but the kids showed up on Monday with a great attitude, which was kind of a shock to us."

In their four games since, the Panthers are undefeated.

Now, they are in position to win the Region 5-4A South championship.
