LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Victor Hill, the former Sheriff of Clayton County, was released from the Gwinnett County Jail Friday afternoon. He was seen leaving the jail by 11Alive News.

He did not make any statements to reporters as he left.
Despite being indicted in Clayton County, Hill was being held in Gwinnett, because he was at one time the Sheriff of Clayton County and oversaw the jail there.
Hill was being held on a $50,000 bond. But, many of the bondsman in Clayton County were reluctant to write his bond, fearing retribution from the current Sheriff there, Kem Kimbrough, Hill's attorney said.
