GWINNETT | Judges to perform free wedding ceremonies

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Magistrate Court judges in Gwinnett County plan to perform free wedding ceremonies Tuesday.

The wedding ceremonies are an annual tradition on Valentine's Day.

The ceremonies, including vow renewals for those who have already married, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse on the Lawrenceville Square.

Authorities say couples must have a valid marriage license to make the wedding ceremony official.

To obtain a license, the bride and groom must bring a valid photo ID and birth certificate to the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Licenses will not be available at the historic courthouse.
