Easter egg hunt makes a splash at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center

Easter egg hunt makes a splash at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Easter Bunny made an early visit to Lawrenceville on Saturday for an unsual Easter Egg hunt.

Instead of hiding eggs in the grass or behind bushes, Bethesda Park Aquatic Center plopped the plastic eggs in the pool.

About 540 kids followed, many more than expected.

"We're very excited about the turnout," said the park's aquatic coordinator Diane Brim.

Kids collected the colorful eggs and traded them in for candy and toys. There were also crafts and Easter Bunny photo opps -- but that required getting out of the water.
