LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, Gwinnett County's oldest non-profit arts organization, will move its headquarters this fall.

The company will fill a new 19,000-square-foot space at 1800 MacLeod Avenue in Lawrenceville, across from Gwinnett Technical College, Gwinnett Ballet Theatre announced Tuesday.

"We will now be in the center of Gwinnett County and therefore more accessible to an increased number of students and families," company artistic director Wade Walthall said in a statement. "This new facility gives us more space to offer a wider and more comprehensive curriculum. It will be a quality facility for quality dance training."

The new space is also closer to the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center, where the company performs.

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre's new home contains five studios, offices, a student study area, dressing areas with showers, a costume shop and plenty of storage, Walthall said.
