Lawrenceville Ghost Tours return with hair-raising haunts

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Ghoulishly good fun returns this fall with the annual Lawrenceville Ghost Tours at Aurora Theatre, through October 31. Directed by Cynthia Rintye and led by costumed storytellers, the living are invited to partake in a 90-minute spooky stroll to historical haunts, experiencing chilling tales of haunted history and paranormal activity in downtown Lawrenceville’s business district.

Free of grotesque effects and startling of patrons, metro-Atlanta’s most popular ghost tour focuses on vivid storytelling to capture the mysterious myths and legends of a moonlit walk through Honest Alley, the haunted jail and more devilish destinations.

“The ghost tours offer a frightening, yet family-friendly activity to celebrate all of the hocus pocus that flies in with the season,” said Anthony Rodriguez, Aurora Theatre Producing Artistic Director. “Aside from the elaborate storytelling, the ghost tours provide patrons a look into the spell-binding history that can’t be found in school books and every day conversations.”

Not for the faint of heart, the newest adventure to spook Lawrenceville is the Haunted Cemetery Tour, Friday and Saturday nights in October. Thrill seekers will join Madame Macabre (Rintye), as she recounts her own eerie experiences at the cemetery, including capturing an EVP (electronic voice phenomena), witnessing orbs and the terrifying personal experience that inspired this tour! Guests should wear closed-toe shoes, bring a flashlight and be at least 13-years-old to participate; a signed release form will be required for every attendee.

Tours are also offered year-round, May through September, for those wishing to dust the cobwebs off the supernatural craze a little earlier!

Lawrenceville Ghost Tours are frightening fun for the entire family (well, except the little tykes who scare easily). Ticket reservations can be made at the box office or by calling 678-226-6222. Tickets for Sunday through Thursday tours are $12 (adults) and $9 (children); Friday and Saturday tour tickets are $15 (adults) and $12 (children). Regular ghost tours are Sunday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. & 9 p.m. Haunted cemetery tours are Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
