'The Drowsy Chaperone' coming to Aurora Theatre | Arts & Culture
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- A five-time Tony Award-winning musical will grace the Aurora Theatre stage next month.
The Drowsy Chaperone will open Thursday, Mar. 14 and run through Sunday, Apr. 14.

The Broadway sensation opened at New York City's Marquis Theatre in 2006 and went on to snag the Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score. The Drowsy Chaperone pays homage to the Jazz Age and its upbeat music, which kept spirits high during the Great Depression.
Performances will be Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $25 to $35.
A special preview performance will be held Tuesday, Mar. 12 at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 with a library card. A $16 matinee will take place Wednesday, Apr. 3 at 10 a.m.
