LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- An Aurora Theatre tradition will return for the 2012 holiday season.

Anthony Rodriguez's one-man staging of A Christmas Carol will play at the Lawrenceville theater for three weeks, beginning Nov. 29.

In this production, Rodriguez performs similar to the way Charles Dickens told his stories by the fireside in Victorian England. He uses different voices and mannerisms to bring all the beloved characters -- Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future -- to life.

This will be Rodriguez's sixth time staging the show.

"Although the task is never an easy one, preparing for this show is now a part of my holiday tradition," he said. "I love seeing the faces of those who, like Scrooge, come to the revelation -- the greatest gift each Christmas is the joy of giving."

Tickets for A Christmas Carol are $15 and can be purchased online or by calling 678-226-6222. The show runs through Dec. 16. Performance times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. A special Thursday night opening performance will be held at 8 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Aurora Theatre is located at 153 Crogan Street in Lawrenceville. Free parking is available in the city deck attached to the theater.
