About Us
Advance Therapeutic Concepts was founded by Carey Savage in July of 2004 and became incorporated in September of 2004. Mr. Savage is Licensed Clinician Social Worker with over 15 years of mental health experience. He started Advance after identifying a need for more community-based mental health services for at-risk youth in Atlanta and surrounding communities.
On February 2, 2011, Schantate Johnson, LMSW and Renee' Campbell, MSW joined Advance Therapeutic Concepts as shareholders to form a three-tier corporate leadership structure. Both Ms. Johnson and Ms. Campbell have over 15 years of social work experience that started in Mississippi and has continued in Georgia over the last 6 years.
Advance started as an organization focused primarily on assisting children and families in Georgia's Foster Care System by providing transportation, parenting training, assessments, and supervised visits. Today Advance is an organization committed to quality mental health services and treatment for all age groups with over 5 therapeutic program areas to choose from.
Advance is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International to provide Intensive Community-Based Mental Health Services.

Additional Information
The staff at Advance consists of fully licensed professionals to highly skilled paraprofessionals from diverse cultures and ethnic groups. Many of the staff have advance degrees and licensure in counseling, nursing, psychiatry, psychology, and social work. Advance also has staff trained and certified in play therapy, anger management, domestic violence, substance abuse, and many other mental health specialties.
